In Q2 2023, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Ghana saw varying performance among the top 5 apps, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at their metrics:

Yango — different from a taxi experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, starting from around 9.6K and peaking at 21.7K by the end of April, before declining to approximately 9.9K towards the end of June. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, increasing from 106.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 127.2K mid-April, then stabilizing around 106.5K by the end of June.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a consistent decline in weekly downloads from 14.1K at the start of the quarter to about 8.4K by the end of June. Active users also saw a general downward trend, beginning at 658.2K and ending at 609K.

Yango Lite: light taxi app faced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at 5.8K and plummeting to just 535 by the last week of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from 40.8K to about 29.6K over the quarter.
